That doesn't get you a sign and trade Bo Horvat, And he's getting more than 8x8 Grzelcyk is LD Vancouver wants young RD Why can't people figure that out?

That Bo Horvat offer for a sign and trade, Is easily beaten by other teams that have better prospects than Boston. And a 8x8 sign and trade would need to include Fabian Lysell at the very least.

The Bruins are without a doubt not trading for Horvat nor are they signing him in free agency. They won't ignore Pavel Zacha either. GM DS should take a bow for that trade.

Canucks are doing no favours for the Bruins.
Better offers will easily beat this out.

4.5 m in bonus overages from previous year put you way over the cap. Which is why Bo is simply not an option.

Boston would not make that trade even if they could sign him.

I don't totally disagree but I am wary of this because of the fluctuation in value of Miller. Bo is not the player he's been this yr in my mind. Nor is he a centre who makes his line mates. Nor is he great defensively. Don't get me wrong he is good. But I feel as soon as his new deal is signed it'll be a liability.

What expectation do you have for the return on a Hornet deal ?

Miller nothing to do with it but Bo is pretty much as you said. He has high character & strong with the puck.

As for a return a 1st is a given & 1 top prospect & 1 good NHLer. LHD no thx

Ya I am wary because with Miller last yr we wanted a similar package. And we scoffed at the deal of Lundqvist, Chytl and a 1st. But it kinda just makes sense to trade expiring contracts with the direction this team is going. As long as we get a 1st and prospect the rest is gravy. Ill hope for more but not gonna be upset if its just 1st and prospect. The last thing I wanna see is like an 8 yr 9 mil deal for him.

Lots of 2023-24 questions more than answers/facts:

    FACT:
    1) Overages for Bergeron/Krejci are BIG as pointed out above - US$4.5MIL I think (so the above ACGM is busted as constructed).
    2) A 21-man roster? That's a GM non-starter in a 23-man pro-league. One Injury, or two and it's plan the golf vacations for April (in December).

    However, QUESTIONS:
    1) Can Pasta be signed tonight for 8 x $10MIL? (I think so - he's the face of the franchise going forward; get him signed now).
    2) Zacha is in the system and every game looks better (all 200ft of his game) - so for $4-5Mil can he be signed?
    3) Nix Bo and there's say 4MIL left (that's the bonus overage), and
    4) If Bergy signs as per last year (min type-salary w/ bonuses), its: PB-PZ-CC @ centre (or PB-CC-PZ). Not grrrrrrrreat but not too bad either given they'd be uber-experienced together...

If that was the package for JT ^ ^ - Canucks lose 1000-and-10%.

Tbh Horvat is just doing what Miller did last yr. I would not be surprised in the least if he falls back to 60 points or so. Fact is he's not good defensively and can't play with anyone because he doesn't distribute the puck. Now inside that framework he is a hell of a goal scorer and a really good face-off man but I see him as a limited player who does not make his line mates better. With where the organization is at I'd love to see both out the door.
