fair. Though league scoring seems to be way up and the precedent isn't there for that production track. This is our 2nd best prospect, decent prospect that would play on Philly this year in Robertson, Hirvonen who would have a shot to make it even next season though likely the year after. Plus the picks. Deals for top stars of late haven't been for that much value. Granted we may have to pay even more for the retention, I tried to do that with Hirvonen and the 2nd and 4th. Maybe takes more. But if PHI does a proper rebuild or at least 3-5 year retool, I don't see why they wouldn't try to max returns by selling now and retaining.

willy also very comfortable as LW, has said he may even prefer it at times, could shift him over and do Nylander - Matthews - Konecny. I wouldn't be overly worried about that.

Schenn wouldn't be able to replace anything close to what muzzin did. Muzzin is a low end 1st pairing defender when healthy and schenn was barley used by tampa and hes just worse now.

Agreed but we dont need another muzzin, the young guys have developed and we added gio and timmins since the days of muzzin being top-end. Only thing schenn might replicate is physicality/hitting.

but that's not really useful when he'd be getting less than 10 mins a game playing every 3rd game in a best case scenario, especially since he makes the team worse in every other regard for said physicality
