    I see CBJ fans trading Roslo at 50% for a 2nd. I feel like they could more. Dumoulin is in the deal purely for cap, but CBJ does not need to retain.

        Kevin Hayes ($1,642,857 retained)

        I don't know if the relationship between Hayes and Torts has gotten better, or if the rumours of buying him out are true, but this deal gives them a return instead of losing him for nothing. Dumoulin and Carter are purely there for cap. I feel like Carter would waive for Philly because of familiarity and proximity, but if not, Kapanen can be in the deal. Even with this retention, it is still less than what the buyout would cost.

          Funny, I was just thinking about trades for a 3C with Columbus and Philadelphia. Then I log-in and find this ACGM, we must have been on same wave lengths lol. Instead of Hayes though, I was thinking Laughton. I wonder if he would be available?

          Was also thinking Colton Sissons from Nashville or Noel Acciari from St. Louis?

          Would be pretty fine with this trade. The Jackets can get by for the last bit of the season without Roslovic and they've got Voronkov coming over next year as well as a great shot at drafting a quality center in the draft.

          Laughton would be really challenging to trade away for Philly and probably not available either. He is the only player with a letter this season under Torts and he is liked by Torts , the players and the fanbase so they aren't trading him without an overpay.

          Also Philly and Pens never trade with eachother so Pens would have to give an ridiculous offer that Philly can't say no to

          I feel like Laughton would need to be an overpayment.
          Sissons does bring the physicality, but I dont think he brings the offense we need for the 3C and I am not crazy about his contract.
          Acciari has been good offensively, and could be a nice little rental for sure. Is he capable of carrying a line though?

          He still has 3 years left after this season and the team probably is going to do some sort of a rebuild after this season so there isn't a really good reason not to retain 50% if they are gonna be retaining 23% for 3 years anyway.

          Agreed. He’s having a down season, but Dumolin’s numbers aren’t half bad, historically. If he could sign a cheap 1-2 year extension after the trade, he could be a good placeholder while we wait for Mateychuk/Svozil.
