I could see Toews or Bertuzzi going to Boston. But, the question is, for what?

Toews unlikely but I feel bertuzzi or Barbashev are good fits, both are multi positional and play with an edge.

Personally if they go all in I think bertuzzi+ a depth guy like schenn or Braun would be great additions.

I can’t see bertuzzi costing to much considering I haven’t heard any contract extension talks yet with Detroit, he also has been hurt all year.

Man though hall-coyle-bertuzzi as our 3rd line would be nice. Our match-ups would be nightmares for teams.

Even without going to the top of the market, it's going to be tough for Boston to add most of these names - they don't have much cap space so they're basically dollar in, dollar out - even with retention on Bertuzzi, they'd still need to send out about $2.1M in cap to make it work.

The only guys that can probably be added without a ton of cap gymnastics would be Bjugstad & Parise - and I'd argue Parise probably isn't going anywhere unless the Isles fall apart over the next 6 weeks. But if they're still in contention around the deadline, it makes no sense for them to move a guy like that out.

Not sure how much of an upgrade McCabe would be, if any, but would certainly like him on our back end. Not prepared to give up a first for him though

I agree, I just think McCabe's going price may end up being a 1st, seems to be what Gavrikov and Edmundson are rumored for, Chiarot went for a 1st last year, of course I'm just speculating though.

You hope GM’s learn from that awful Chiarot trade but probably not.

Isles aren't selling and are likely re-signing Parise. It's been amazing seeing him as an Islander.
