The Coyotes aren't using one of their 2 retention slots for a borderline 7th D and 4th rounder. Also they really like Välimäki

Detroit isn't trading Sunny for a pick 2 years out... change it to a '23 2nd and it'd be considered.

Chances are, Detroit is extending him. He's been a very good fit here.

Sitting Noesen for a like production forward seems counterproductive. Chatfield won’t clear waivers and we probably need a top 4 capable LHD in a trade. Valimaki would be a decent option for a trade in the off-season but I don’t think he moves the needle for improving the team some this season.

Wings should accept that. I like Sundqvist, but Wings have so much depth that they are almost in troubletears of joy

That's just greedy. I like Sundqvist too, but at the end he is a fringe 3rd liner. Wings traded Namestnikov for a 2024 4th rounder. Does Sundqvist has that much more value?

I think he does. He's a right handed, big body that can play up and down the lineup and is a fantastic fit in the room. In all honesty, a 2023 2nd might be a bit much to ask, but I also don't think Yzerman will trade him. If he does, a 2023 3rd is probably more likely, but I don't like the idea of pushing the pick out a year.

I don't really know the comparison between the two players but Jarnkrok got a second, third and seventh last deadline.

Think VAN would rather hold on to Schenn in this case, he's one of the few players that actually plays hard; I could be wrong tho

The good thing is that Bertuzzi, Erne and Sundqvist all plays that "physical playoff type of hockey". GM's loves to pay a lot for these type of players. So maybe the values are actually pretty highsarcasm . Ofc the 2023 picks would be the most optimal, but it doesn't mean 24-25 picks are worthless or out of the Wings "timeline". These picks could be used in trades in the futureHuh?

Sunny is one of only three right shooting players on the team and Perron is gone after next season. He shouldn't be disposed of so easily.

As I said, I would like to keep Sundqvist, but we can't overpay our depth players. We don't want to be in a situation like Vancouver were a couple of seasons ago. What does Sundqvist get on his next contract? At least 3+million.

Wings need more righties for sure.

I think Sunny takes a pay cut to stay in Detroit. I hear from some of his friends that he really enjoys being there.
