Even with how lopsided the forst three trades are, this is more like an unbuild than a rebuild. And what is the point of Pearson for Hornqvist? Just to pay more money for nothing?

You can’t honestly believe anyone accepts those offers do you? So lopsided.

Maybe Fla to save a bit of cap this year but it’s minimal and they have to take Pearson on next year. Doubt it.

We are not trading Jones for Myers even when he has salary being retained

No trade w/ BOS:

1) In BOS, DeBrusk is playing on the top-line.
2) He makes only US$ 4MIL per.
3) He's on pace for a 30G-30A season, and
4) He's a very underrated 200ft player (PP1 & PK2) - why?
* Because he's uber-committed to that part of his game this season.

Horvat will NOT be a Bruin in 2023 or beyond via trade - maybe as a UFA?

Right now:
He's not what's needed and especially because he's a rental and Pasta's $10MIL-a-season-paycheck is looming.
BOS is just fine up-front/in-net - they will add playoff depth at D & FWD w/ easy $money$ pieces - not pending UFAs requiring mui-assets to be a 3rd-line centre for a month or two.

Anaheim has no interest in this trade, we're not moving our young players for over the hill guys.

Agree - I'm sure Canucks fans think Boeser should warrant more of a return but the assets being given up from Buffalo POV seem reasonable, given Mittelstadt not reaching his potential and Boeser not being consistent or as effective as his rookie year. However, in the big picture, not sure Boeser fits what the Sabres would want in terms of forwards. They have enough offensive-minded players in the top 6 and Boeser is not a strong defensive player or possession-driver for the 3rd line.

If there's a Vancouver-Buffalo scenario that might make sense (assuming the Canucks continue avoiding the rebuild route), I wonder if a Garland-for-Olofsson deal would work for both teams. Olofsson is a pure finisher and PP specialist - two qualities the Canucks need - and might elevate his game in a top 6 role with fellow Swede Pettersson as his center. Garland meanwhile is not as good a finisher but does provide strong forechecking and play driving that could fit on the Sabres' 3rd line. Salaries are close as are the ages. Change of scenery type of deal......

Agree w the biggest part of what u (basically) said,
is that we probably wouldn’t be interested in Boeser
Don’t think we are gonna trade a Center for a winger
