That's a nice dream for Chicago, but not Winnipeg. Toews doesn't really do anything for the Jets and with only 50% retained, isn't worth it for Winnipeg. If he wasn't from Winnipeg, fans wouldn't keep trying to push him on the Jets.

If he wants to do a retirement tour next year, he can sign a $1.0 contract with the Jets to go on his goodbye rounds.

Toews has been the best Blackhawk this year and bounced back. Also I put in that he would be double retained for Winnipeg. He also would get prob $2.5 mil next year atleast.
