I think Ty Smith in there would tempt myself a little more, but only tempt me a little, and they'd need to take Stillman back as well.

Value is ok but Van doesnt need/can't fit Dumoulin. A RD or prospect would be more enticing.

I know the Canucks' biggest needs are C and RD, but I also think they value cap space and mentioned wanting to recoup picks. The main pieces here are recouping a 2nd and 3rd, and shedding over $3.4M by going from Boeser to Kapanen. Heinen/Dumo can be flipped at the deadline, but that is not important for now. I think that $3M+ can go a long way in helping to re-sign Horvat.

Fair points, but there's lots of ways for Canucks to shed 3+ Mil without giving away Boeser.

Potentially, but most of those would involve giving up assets to move players, which I dont think is something they wanna do.
