Texier isn't away from North America because of the team he's on. He's not in North America because he went through tremendous loss of family and can't bring himself to be away from the people he has left. We really don't know all the details yet or even if he'll ever return to the NHL.

Yes, I heard about this. It's a deeply unfortunate circumstance for him. At the same exact time, however, it makes his potential return to NHL hockey all that much more intriguing.

Tex and his agent have both said he wants to come back to the NHL. Jarmo has met with him already.

Just talking trade value, CBJ still love what Tex offers. Particularly if we clear out some Fs this (off)season, there should be room for him to come back and excel. I think if they move him, CBJ would have to get an overpay. Drury may work, but I might even push for Nikishin.
