Monahan is not worth two firsts, what the heck? He was just dumped with one.

Don't think MTL is moving Allen now given they've already extended him.

Don't think WSH or EDM can afford these moves either, although the value isn't too bad.

Winnipeg won't pay that much at the deadline.

I think Monahan may get a 1st back but the Habs are likely retaining and probably taking a contract back.

-Edmonton is going to have to get creative with the cap to bring Evander Kane back off LTIR when he's healthy - why are they spending $2.75M of their limited cap space for a guy with 5 assists in 18 games? Much less giving up a pair of assets for him? Drouin has no value at this point with that cap hit and lack of production.

-So Winnipeg is gonna give up their 1st round pick in last year's draft (McGroarty) plus this year's 1st round for a rental forward who's probably a 3C when everyone's healthy and a guy who'd be their 4th best RHD? This is an insane overpay for this package - Winnipeg easily passes.

-Jake Allen has a .900 SV% and 3.26 GAA so far this season. LA's goaltenders, as a whole, have a 3.28 GAA this year. And you have the Kings giving up a 3rd rounder (plus a goalie prospect) for that "improvement"? Kings pass.

-Dadonov has 7 points in 28 GP and would cost $2.5M for a Capitals team that a)doesn't have the cap space and b)has at least 5-6 forwards better than Dadonov when everyone's healthy. Just like Drouin, it's going to take a radical turnaround for this guy to return any sort of positive asset - at this point, he's getting paid middle-6 money to put up replacement level production.

Yeah just trying to estimate value and a potential landing spot… didn’t rlly consider the cap situation of the other teams

All makes sense thanks 🙏🏻 just trying to gauge the values of this teams pieces… not a habs fan so don’t watch them much…

Regardless of value, please don't make trade proposals with WPG. Nobody wants to hear it...

That being said; we would be lucky to get one 4th for Drouin, it would be a dream to get anything for Dadanov, fairly certain Allen is here for the rebuild unless our socks get knocked off with an offer, Monahan brings us a 1st @50% retention with an additional sweetener and likely taking a contract back as well.
