Farabee didnt have a great start to the year but he's twice the player Engvall is and has twice the potential. Farabee is coming off disc replacement surgery that has only been done 3 times to NHL players. It took Eichel a year before playing like himself again.

Holl is better than Braun but is also a UFA and Leafs fans only decide Holl is good when the leafs are winning he isnt some amazing player.

Farabee has produced pretty similar offesive numbers to engvall when you factor in ice time and power play time and thats even before you add in linemates.
Throw in that engvall is miles better defensively you can easily argue their value is, at worst, similar
And then add in the surgery, which is a negative for his value.
And it doesnt matter if holl is a ufa to the leafs because so is braun, so they make themselves worse on d for no reason.
So at best
Engvall= farabee
Holl > braun
2nd>>>>> nothing

Why give Farabee away.

Flyers aren’t trading Farabee, especially for that return. Yikes.

Farabee has 37 more points in his career in only 4 more games. Farabee plays on lines where he is severely outmatched everynight because were the flyers. Farabee has played through injuries the last 2 years and hasnt been able to find a groove. Saying there equal players is laughable. Engvall doesnt get more ice time because he doesnt deserve more ice time.

This typically not the time you trade your most skilled young player for a Subpar 3rd liner at best. Engvall is only good in leafs fans eyes when theyre winning.

He has 37 more points because he plays more per game, with more power play time, in softer zone starts with better players.
Basically, farabee gets 1 extra point every 10 games or so with significant offensive advantages.
And if you need to end every one of your points with that silly disclaimer, you might not have a point at all

Engvall = 3rd/4th Liner

Farabee = 2nd Liner

Engvall doesnt play on the power play because he isnt good enough. Sure the P/60 are similar but factor in the whole picture here.

Farabee plays better Competition, Plays on a team that has taken an extreme turn for the worse defensively as a whole the last 2 years, Coming off a big surgery that still is holding him back, also has way more potential than Engvall.

Engvall has the better team and Favorable matchups as a 3rd/4th liner

Wrong, engvall is used in defensive situations and faces harder competition for it.he also starts the strong majority of his shifts in the defensive zone while farabee gets the opposite.
And i do love how you totally ignore or fail to understand how incredibly unimpressive it is for farabee to average one more point every 10 games despite his power play and ice time.
You do realise that even if engvall isnt good enough to get that on the leafs, it just means that farabee isnt good enough either, yet he still gets the time and does nothing positive with it.
Potential or not, he's not showing it now and his value reflects that.
