Dallas trade is interesting because of Bischel but Bourque for Schenn is not what the Canucks need. I would really like to target Wyatt Johnston or Nils Lundqvist and a late pick for Bo Horvat.

Dallas declines. Stars are giving up way too much for a guy they have no chance of signing in the offseason. Bischel looked phenomenal yesterday vs. Finland & Bourque is coming off of one of the better seasons in the QMJHL in the last decade. That's essentially 3 first round picks & a cap dump for two rentals, one of whom is at best a 3rd pair RD for Dallas.

If you're looking for a "B Prospect", you're looking at guys like Antonio Stranges, Francesco Arcuri, Gavin White, etc. Mavrik Bourque does not fall into that category, currently.



Any team asking for Johnston or Lundkvist is going to get hung up on. Those two players are non-negotiable for Dallas at the deadline.

I think the Canucks need Bichsel more than Johnston or Lundkvist but I don’t think Dallas is willing to part with either of them. They need Johnston’s ELC and they just traded their 1st for Nils

Can Dallas re-sign Horvat this offseason? No.

Should Dallas trade two of their top prospects for two rentals? Same answer.

yeah but in the same way they have a real shot to come out of the west so they should be active buyers and Horvat makes sense for them. You can move Seguin to the wing then that top six is one of the best in the league.
