I’d prefer to keep Jeannot around just because he is the best example there is if perseverance and would be a good role model for the younger players. If the Preds trade Fabbro, I would want it to be to BUF for Jokiharju+ or to OTT for Lassi Thomson+

I don’t know what Poile was thinking with that Sissons contract 6 years at almost 3m. He would fit in COL though, and it makes sense for them to look at 3/4 Cs for another deep playoff run.

Sissons is too expensive for a 3rd liner, but he also looks like McDavid every time he plays the Avs so there could be something there.

It was absolutely brilliant when Buffalo signed Clague.
He is not flashy but he is certainly a solid 7th/6th D-man.
If you want him and will send back Lauzon with a couple of picks, Buffalo would be absolutely thrilled to do that.
Lauzon has playoff experience, he hits, most of his starts or in the DZ and he PK's.

That is quite a steep price for Granlund, especially without retention. I could see Granlund being a target for the Canes, but I doubt he returns a blue chip prospect.

Personally I'd love Sissons on the Avs. Not sure the Avs are going to be able to afford even contracts like that in the bottom 6 next year though, and I'd say that's a bit too rich for my blood as far as the trade goes.

Poor defensively? Nah man, he kills penalties for us and is responsible in the D zone. That's one of his strong suits. 5m for Granlund is pretty reasonable. He's a 60 point 2C and that seems like market value for a player like him
