Like this option too. That way they get out two players that has a hard time really fitting. And get elite playmaker at 3 more years. And can still get Kane too in the off-season

Yeah, but Dahlin can be extended this offseason and I would not be surprised if they Didn't do that. And I think Cozens signs almost the exact deal Thompson did. We can score goals, think Kane would be a luxury we don't need. Spend that money on a good RD, or a physical 3LW

An even better reason to root for the city where my dad grew up. I would certainly prefer to watch Kane and Panarin in CHI, but, if he is traded and those two are reunited, I will be watching and cheering no matter where it is.

I think the justified long-term extensions for Cozens, Dahlin and Power are all more likely to happen than either the proposed trade for Panarin or the free-agent signing of Kane. Adams has said over and over and over that they'll take care of their own players first before adding from the outside.

Not sure why the Rags would ever go for that offer.

If Buffalo could get Panarin for Casey, Victor, first and second they should.
TBH I would not break up the top two lines but rather give Krebs two great wingers to make a third line

Panarin can run his own line and make Krebs and Kane even better.
I am not sure if they are fourth line type of players, if they are that would be a really inexpensive fourth line with Jost, Kulich and Savoie.
Buffalo would need an inexpensive fourth line with Kane, Panarin, Skinner, Dahlin, Thompson and Cozens collecting two thirds of the cap space next year

I sort of knew Samuelsson would be good, but he is the anchor for the defense.
Power is far better than I thought he would be.
Very solid defensively and he seems to have jelled with Jokiharju.

If the Sabres can sign Johnson, the defense will be good for the next 10 years.
We do not need Chychrun, just a solid RHD who can KP.

Levi may be too short for the typical NHL GK, but he is certainly looking good again this year.

Really wish they would have used that 2nd last year on 1 of those RD that were still available. Johnson knows there's a spot there for him. I think he would be a lose cause he can transition from side to side without losing anything. Excited about the future, a few tweaks and this team is gonna make some noise.
