I just don’t see toews as a fit yet, i role top 3 centers that are all ready in place, if something changes, I’m on the phone to toews july 1 though. Other rental options out there that don’t come with the cap hit and are a little more versatile up front. Domi is a little bit interesting in top 6 role possibly. I wouldn’t be doing a ton though with the chemistry and success this squad has been having.

Make it just the 3rd on the Domi deal and that's a maybe. Definite no from Winnipeg on the Toews deal.

Hawks decline the Toews trade. Another LD is the last thing they need. The 2nd round pick gets Domi half retained, or the 3rd w/ no retention. Ho Yeah!

If JT does play for the jets I see it as a free agency signing at a much lower cap hit. I just dont think he moves the needle enough compared to the price the jets would have to pay
