That's a garbage take on Kane, but ok. There is literally only one person on the NYR's who has taken more shots than Kane. The only reason Kane doesn't have more goals is because he has no one to play with that can get the puck to him in high danger areas or make deceptive plays and passes that create high danger chances, and the only reason he doesn't have more assists is because he doesn't have anyone that can truly keep up with him and the level at which he thinks the game. All you have to do is take a couple seconds to just look at basic statistics to realize your opinion isn't based on facts.

What would be the point of trading him? He's not going to fetch anything of consequence and we're not going to get anyone as good/cheap to replace the guy, who is actually signed through next season and already understands the system. Plus, we're already down two depth defensemen, possibly for the whole season, and Army has seen our D corp decimated by injury come playoff three seasons in a row. The benefit of keeping him far outweighs any small benefit of getting a 5th back. That's why.
