Couple of things...you are wrong - last year's deadline
D-Chiarot for a 1st, 4th and a prospect
D-Lindhom - 1st and 2nd and more
Mayfield - a 6'5 physical Top 4 defensemen making $1.45M - A **** load of playoff teams will be calling.
It's so funny to hear Toronto fans tell others they are way off in value. Keep pedaling Kerfoot, Robertston, Holl for those realistic prices. LOL
I don't want those players traded. Don't generalize my opinion because some Leafs fans can't appreciate their own players enough to want to keep them, or because they trade them for unreasonable prices on here.
Chiarot was a mistake and hopefully teams have learned from that, and you can't be serious comparing mayfield to lindholm, that's a joke. You can compare him to Chiarot but that was the standard for a terrible deal, so teams will think twice before selling the farm for a middling 3rd, or at best 2nd pair D. Especially when the draft class is so loaded compared to last year, teams will think twice about trading their first rounder for pieces that aren't game-changing.
Justin Holl is huge, on a cheap deal, playing more mins than Mayfield, actually leads the Leafs D other than injured Rielly in average TOI, so he's playing the most minutes of any d-man on a top 3 team in the league (check the standings) right now, most important Dman to the PK right now. Does that make him worth a 1st and a prospect? No. And just as it would be foolish for me to think so, it is utterly foolish for you to think that of Mayfield. And even more of a joke to compare him to Lindholm.
