Not sure if forum rules allow links so Ill give you the title: Spongebob MY EYES!!! on u toob

In all seriousness, this is not a rebuild and if it were, wouldnt it make sense to play Raty and Dufour, not Bailey, Martin and Johnston? And play Wahlstrom and Holmstrom more than bottom 6 minutes?

This is one of the hardest ACGMs i've encountered. So many bad contracts with term. Throwing things at the wall is probably the only solution.
Anything is possible. I remember Oilers fans claiming Koskinen was a better than average goalie because of a small sample size. Thus my namesake. Goalies are completely voodoo so if there one org that could turn Petersen why not the Isles?

The value on Mayfield is Too low. He will definitely get the isles a 1st and a prospect.
Vary offer is interesting but I'm not adding any picks
Beauvillier - Although I really like him, he probably needs a change in scenery. But I say no for the isles on that deal

if the isles made pageau available tomorrow they can easily trade him for assets. He's a 4 mill dollar player but his reputation around the league is great. Who else is bad? I have no problem calling out bad contracts on this team.

Martin's contract isn't bad, it just unnecessary. He's been by far the best player on the 4th line this season. If isles wanted to trade clutter or Martin, they could. Cizikas contract is an albatross.

i agree the last three aren’t great but they’re small enough where they really don’t have an impact. nelson should go in a rebuild, he’s got good value i’d think.

I mean you said rebuild but sold almost none of their actual high value players. Not sure rebuild is the right word to describe this, retool perhaps. But I don't think it accomplishes much of anything.

Couple of things...you are wrong - last year's deadline
    D-Chiarot for a 1st, 4th and a prospect
    D-Lindhom - 1st and 2nd and more

Mayfield - a 6'5 physical Top 4 defensemen making $1.45M - A **** load of playoff teams will be calling.

It's so funny to hear Toronto fans tell others they are way off in value. Keep pedaling Kerfoot, Robertston, Holl for those realistic prices. LOL

I don't want those players traded. Don't generalize my opinion because some Leafs fans can't appreciate their own players enough to want to keep them, or because they trade them for unreasonable prices on here.

Chiarot was a mistake and hopefully teams have learned from that, and you can't be serious comparing mayfield to lindholm, that's a joke. You can compare him to Chiarot but that was the standard for a terrible deal, so teams will think twice before selling the farm for a middling 3rd, or at best 2nd pair D. Especially when the draft class is so loaded compared to last year, teams will think twice about trading their first rounder for pieces that aren't game-changing.

Justin Holl is huge, on a cheap deal, playing more mins than Mayfield, actually leads the Leafs D other than injured Rielly in average TOI, so he's playing the most minutes of any d-man on a top 3 team in the league (check the standings) right now, most important Dman to the PK right now. Does that make him worth a 1st and a prospect? No. And just as it would be foolish for me to think so, it is utterly foolish for you to think that of Mayfield. And even more of a joke to compare him to Lindholm.

If I look through all your posts here, I'm sure you have "generalize" others too, so please stop... Regarding Chiarot, it's funny. Don't we hear that every year about the deadline how playoffs teams overpay???
Not comparing Lindholm straight up with Mayfield. While Lindholm is obviously better offensive, Mayfield defense and physical play is much better. Lindholm deal included 3 draft pick along with 2 other players going to Anaheim.

lindholm is far superior in every aspect of the game except being 6'5, only 6'4 so Mayfield can have the edge there. Lindholm was also a sign and trade. But don't embarass yourself trying to argue Mayfield over Lindholm.

The real comparable for Mayfield, at best, is a worse Josh Manson, who got a 2nd and a prospect in return. Don't expect more than that, do expect less.

Chiarot was the worst overpay for a D-man at a TDL in quite a few years. Mayfield at this price would be even more catastrophic.

I disagree, but I'm not worried about it. The Isles and Lou won't move him anyway. The old fossil will probably add even if we are way out of contention anyway.
