Description
@NHLTradeRumors states the Nucks want a young center and a young RHD for Horvat…it just so happens the Wild have these pieces…
Take into consideration that Zuccarello would probably have to be moved in the offseason for the Wild to be able to resign Horvat.

I have a hard time believing Minnesota would do this. As a Canucks fan, this would be awesome

I’d definitely be interested in a Canucks fan. Although what caused Rossi to struggle in the NHL so far this season?

It’s hard to say for sure, but it looks to me he’s wound too toght and puts too much pressure on himself…

Makes sense. A Horvat Erikson-Ek 1-2 punch at center would be awesome

Sure and where is the Wild? Coming up with between $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 per long time to sign Horvat

Can't see Minnesota making this trade and coughing up around 8 million to extend Bo

I don't have a problem with it if Horvat comes with a $7.5m-$8m/yr long term extension (signed right after the trade). It would cost dumping Zucc somewhere, but that's about it.

Horvat and Boldy for $8m each. Gus for $2m. Duhaime and Shaw for $800k (Dewar's contract) each. ELC d-man. It leaves roughly $1.75m for the 12th FWD and a pressbox guy. If you get Boldy on a bridge is opens up a bit more cap space.

The bottom-6 will be 2 4th lines, and the d-corps middle of the pack. The cap does work though.

Vancouver would be stupid to turn this down

Horvat is all but actually gone and has ridiculous contract demands that Minnesota literally can't meet

This is also an overpay and a half by Minnesota and they're not a Bo Horvat away from winning the cup

If you need to "dump" a P/GP winger to make the cap work, the cap does not work

The cap works. A 36yo rental winger for a 28yo center (re-signed), both ppg. This is a no-brainer of a tradeoff.

How? You're adding 2 million to the payroll, Zuccarello has a great relationship and great chemistry with the franchise's greatest talent ever and Zuccarello has done this before. Horvat has not and will not do it again

In a vacuum, sure a 28 y/o P/GP C > 35 y/o P/GP W, but it's far from that simple. Very far

Especially if this is the price to acquire Horvat, it'd be an all around disaster
