What are the blues looking for and please don’t say anything ridiculous because I’ve been dealing with Vancouver fans all week who think Horvat is getting a Wayne Gretzky return

Harrison is developing nicely - I think he fits the bill of a B prospect. 23 first, a third all good but if you want Frederic I think Bruins would probably ask for Acciari too to fill his spot. Frederic has really turned a corner in his development this year.

Bruins Get:
Tarasenko (Retained)
Acciari

Blues Get:
Frederic
Harrison
Smith
2023 1st
2024 3rd

Ya if Frederic is part of the deal then Acciari has to be coming back for the 4th line spot

i feel like the bruins dont have the prospect pool to trade for VT. Other teams will be able to make better offers

The 23 1st is a good start, but with retention they'd need to do a helluva lot better than a C prospect and cap dump to fill it out. The problem is the B's have only one suitable prospect and I'm pretty sure they ain't trading Lysell. Harrison is in no way even a B prospect, mainly because of his skating (which is a big problem for pretty much the entire B's prospect pool apart from Lysell). So yeah, if you want Vova with max retention AND you want to dump Smith, it's gonna need to be at least Frederic and that 3rd to fill it out (assuming the Blues actually want Frederic, that is). Acciari will not be coming back in the trade, either.

They have exactly one prospect truly worth a damn. So many poor skaters and stone hands in the bunch.

Honestly anything outside of Lysell is on the table if the bruins are going for it this year so there are options in B prospect area. If the bruins think Tarasenko is the guy who puts them over the top then they will give up a lot for him, see the Lindholm trade last year which everyone thought was an overpay at the time.

Smith is to make the books work, guys on expiring deals are not dumps, especially for teams way outside of the playoffs. And that’s ridiculous that you would kill a Tarasenko trade with 1st 3rd Frederic and a prospect because you won’t throw in Acciari who is worth a 4th round pick at the deadline. There isn’t a single rental that lysell would be available for only a player who has term.

1 - Smith is absolutely a cap dump because he's a poor player and they'd be trading him solely to remove his cap so they can fit Tarasenko in. That's a Boston problem, not a Blues problem. And in what world exactly do you think the Blues are way out of the playoffs?

2 - First of all, that prospect is trash. He's like the 8th best prospect in the worst prospect pool in the entire league by a decent margin. He has no value to the Blues. He means nothing. They already have a mess of centers way better and far more advanced in development than him, and none of those centers are more than a B prospect. Most of them are B- or C+.

Secondly, why should the Blues need to throw you another fine, cheap player when you are barely in the ballpark in the first place. Acciari is being used by the Blues, thanks, and I would bet money they'll extend him before too long. And if you think Acciari only gets a 4th at the TDL, I have a bridge to sell you on Mars. The only ridiculous thing going on here is your faux outrage.

3 - Yeah, I already said that.

If only we could trade Vova for the rights to Pasta but you get Vova now. Realistically, does Boston even have a chance to extend him?

No pure rental, which is what the bruins want so they can resign Pasta in the offseason

Smith can easily be sent else where like Arizona if it’s that big of a deal, Harrison 19 so that’s crazy your calling him trash, like I asked before what are the blues looking for there’s Beecher, Lorhei, poitras if the bruins want Tarasenko they will give you what you want within reason if they think he gives them the best chance to win a cup.
