Maybe not.

Carlo for Bo has been done to death on here. It’s not a thing tho.

Don’t need Bo at all this year. Need him next year…maybe, maybe not. Do need Carlo this year.

If Boston were to consider this you could leave Poitras out.

Rick Dhaliwal already said that Allvin and Rutherford won't let Horvat's agent talk to teams about a potential extension. So it sounds like he's a rental only as of now.

Dallas trade is interesting but I think the extra year on Faksa would prevent it from happening. We do need a more defensive forward, but not at the extra burden.

He does fit as a 3C and can take over as 2C if Krejci moves on at the end of the season.

So you would rather give up a bunch of assets for Horvat and then resign him in the offseason so we can’t sign Pasta? Can’t have both all this team needs is bottom 6 depth makes no sense to go out and trade a top 4 defenseman for a guy who’s gonna play on the 3rd line.

They will trade with anyone if it makes them better. And Van is not a top team anyway nor in their division which would be far more important obstacle.

General rule of thumb:
Anything involving the bruins trading for horvat, AND anything involving the canucks acquiring carlo isn’t a maybe. It’s a definitely not.

More silly extension talk, just to post a trade.

BOS isn't doing that. If BOS wants Horvat, they will be waiting for him at free agency.

I did not say they should give up a top4 D and signing him+Pastrnak could be doable. That being said, he's not my first option (I don't really have one yet) but there is a fit.

Most importantly, they need to ice the best possible team to win the Cup this year.

Pasta and Horvat can’t work if Horvat already declined 8x8 from Vancouver. Zacha, swayman, Fredric need to be signed and also Bergeron is coming back. Better off pulling a Tampa/Hagel deal and give up a bunch for a guy signed cheap that can play RW3 this year than over pay for Horvat who is just not a fit for the bruins.

We don't know if Bergeron will return and if they will remain a Cup contender but we know they won't remain a contender if there's no 2C. This is where Horvat would fit.

That’s why we traded for zacha, we’re already getting a look at him between pasta and hall right now and he looks great and he’ll be much cheaper

It is indeed between Hall, a 1st liner and Pastrnak, an elite player who can carry him (just like Haula who was 3rd liner) and it's a really short sample size. I'm not saying Zacha will never be a 2C but it's risky. We'll see.
