doubt it will haunt them, it's a fair contract, slightly under market value for what he brings. He's a solid complimentary 2nd line forward and does almost everything well. This is from last season and hes even better this year.

To me a Brown deal is where I would go 3.6mill x 3 years but he wants a 7-8 year deal so probs gone

His stats look great, but I stand pat on not overpaying middle 6 guys.

This would have more validity if the term you are using "overpaying" wasn't entirely dependent on what you deem to be an overpayment, no?

I don't really think overpaying was the right word, but contracts like these you can't build a stanley cup contender with. Its fair value, but not my ideal contract if that makes sense.

Guess that's what you pay for a guy who can't stay healthy. Probably the same reason half of Toronto's DCore is hurt, all Dubas gets is guys who can't stay healthy.

Its been a good bet so far 5 assists for Timmins for us in 4 games and hes looked good. Guess its the Soo effect

Oh I agree, it was definitely a good deal for Dubas, but we all know Timmins is made of glass and could break a leg any minute.
