I think Boone would be a perfect fit and that is a nice package.

I like Engvall and what he brings. I would not be opposed to upgrading him though. I don't know much about Kunin though, so I am not sure if he is what we need. I would need to look into him more!

I am weary about adding mid level cap for years beyond this year though (in the Kunin deal).

realistically boone jenner would probably be available especially with Columbus probably rebuilding for the duration of his contract he will eventually want out with a chance to get a cup, especially since hes nearing his 30's. kunin while i dont watch much of his him so cant really be a reliable source is a top 9 guy who can put contribute some offensively and is solid defensively adds some needed grit to the lineup and is also only 25. and was a relatively high pick in 2016 so the potential is still there.

Jenner is OK but really he's a 3rd liner on the Leafs. Three picks and Hirovan is way too much give up for him. His production is good this year because he's getting 20 a minutes a game and lots of PP time. He's certainly not getting those prime minutes with the Leafs.
Kunin is kinda in the same situation, he's getting PP time with the last place Ducks. Is he really an improvement over Engvall. And if he is I don't know why the Ducks would make the trade.

No matter what you want to believe, Boone is not available for a price that makes any sense to another team. Captain, signed to a team friendly deal at a position of weakness. All of that adds up to a price that is higher than any team would offer if Jarmo is even willing to listen.

The problem is Boone would be a great fit for about 20 teams. Including CBJ. So his value is very high.

He's not. We just extended him to an absolute sweetheart deal (he's paid maybe two-thirds of what he's worth). And he's our Captain. And he's the most reliable two-way center we have. He's well into "don't even bother asking" territory.
