As much as I would love to dump Mitts, with the way the kid line has come together. Buffalo Declines he wouldn't even be in are top 6

He doesn't necessarily have to play in the top six

No he doesn't, but for 6.6m I would hope so. Good hockey player but we have a few prospects that probably push him out of the top 9.

You guys don't have enough NHL ready prospects to push him out of the top 9 yet.

No, not yet. But after the TDL and next season they will. Kulich will be here soon, Rousek. Savoie is either in Buffalo next year or back in juniors. He can't play in Rochester and he's to good for juniors. I like Boeser, but for the money and what Buffalo has coming, rather try and get a Dman or 2

If COL were to do that trade they would have $6M in cap space to sign 6 forwards and a dman have no picks in the first 5 rounds of the deepest draft since 2015. So yeah that’s an easy no.

Kulich, Savoie, Rosen, Rousek all could make a case for a call up by the end of this year or in Savoie's case make the roster next year

Caps already have Carlson and Jensen, and they don't have the cap luxury to take on Myers for a 3rd pairing role (and they may prefer Van Riemsdyk anyway)

For me, moving mittelstadt is addition by subtraction. We still would need a defensive center for the third line

Winnipeg has no incentive to overpay for a 7/8D they don't need.

Can you tell me why Brock's production is off this year.
His 16 pts would be the Sabres fifth best, and over-paid as a third liner.
Obviously Buffalo is not breaking up Skinner-Thompson-Tuch or Quinn-Cozens-Peterka, they are on pace 114 and 69 goals respectively.
It would be interesting to see if Krebs could center Olofsson and Boeser to give the Sabres a third scoring line.
I would make that trade every day of the week, surprising that any Buffalo fan would say no.

Fair value trade for Horvat IF the Avs could sign him BUT would rely on all the other moves the Avs would need to make falling into place perfectly.

That's an extremely optimistic take, and even if they do make the roster, none are likely to produce at the same rate as Boeser will.

      So does Casey.
He did really well to close out the 2020-2021 season and to start this season.
The last 17 games he has been really terrible.

Savoie can't go to the A and isn't getting much out of the O anymore. Kulich, Rosen, and Rousek have 14p each in 21 in the A at 18, 19, and 23 respectively. It's not really that optimistic

Forwards who aren't scoring at PPG rates in the AHL are likely to struggle at the NHL level

      Opps!
I knew you did as I gave it a "like", but as I look back I can see how my comment was mis-leading with the bold comment.
Krebs was touted as a great passer, I was ruminating on testing that evaluation by placing him between two shoot first forwards.
It is ironic that Casey had his best outing of the year last night.
If he played with that much intensity every night, Sabre fans would not be posting so many trade proposals.
