And I assume the rest of the value the Canucks would want for a Boeser trade comes from a 50% retained Daddy at the deadline?

No, no salary retention. No point in that, because Dadonov is an expiring contract. If it were Armia or Hoffman coming back the other way to make the salary work, I'd probably ask for either two 2nds if not a 1st from the Habs instead, since those two guys have additional term remaining

Well I was referring to trading 50% retained daddy to a contender that can't fit full contract xD

But yeah I get what you are going for here. It's not a bad trade really.
