A second and a third is pretty terrible value for a top six winger on a good contract with term, especially since you slot him on the first line wing. Would like to get a little more for Garland, whether than be a 1st rounder or a young RHD prospect.

He’s not worth that much more than Bjorkstrand

I guess you haven’t seen the Market for wingers and the fact the Canucks are willing trade Boeser and garland for cheap

I don't see NSH being close to considering selling low on Tomasino.

They are tanking his value by burying him in the NHL. A 2023 1st isn’t really selling low considering the market for wingers, if anything it’s above market value

I imagine NSH is more concerned with trying to develop the player they likely aren't interested in trading - not trying to pump up his trade value.

Trading a recent 1st rounder for less than a 1st (less, given that NSH is adding a pick here) in an upcoming draft doesn't seem like good asset management to me. The prospect taken with NYI's pick will be further from making the NHL than Tomasino is now.

FWIW, Tomasino was playing down the middle in the AHL of late, before he got injured recently.
