apparently COL doesnt want Monahan for more than a 7th, Habs will likely look elsewhere

Montreal will be asking for a 1st + small add for Monahan, if no one is willing to pay that then they just keep him and extend him since he is a good fit and the organization likes him

Habs would be lucky to get this return from any other team might need to start lowering the expectations in these trades lol

And desperate teams overpaid in a weaker draft then the one were in currently and not many teams are going to pay a 1st unless it's a key guy like horvat esk so keep him instead of assuming every team would be on their knees for a guy that was a dump ik it isn't based on what we was but the market has drastically shifted and its a buyers market come deadline not going to have enough teams that have the cap in a position where they can mortgage the future for not a real impact player as he is most likely a 3rd liner on these teams and a first is not worth that

Avs fans didn’t say that, we have said they don’t want a player who is a bad stylistic fit bc of his poor skating, injury history and poor playoff performances, also don’t want to invest their remaining good assets on pure rentals especially ones that won’t fit into their cap structure next year in an attempt to keep them

Lehk is not a good comp to Mona. He fit what the Avs needed. He was an excellent skater, pk specialist "who never does anything wrong", playoff clutch scorer, no major injury history/surgeries and most importantly, was an rfa.
