I still think Habs would end up adding like a 1st and 2nd on top of that. Robertson is a top 5 forward in the NHL and potentially 2nd.

DAL is in no way moving him. It's laughable to even think they'd consider it. This is a typical Habs AGM, but make no mistake, there's no team that can make a real offer that makes sense for DAL.

The only way DAL even entertains listening to a deal for Robertson is if MTL starts with Slaf, Caufield and an unprotected 23 1st and even then they say no.

It’s like a hive mentality somebody posted it somewhere on a blog and MTL fans refuse to even understand in the slightest why COL has no interest in Monahan or more accurately that COL isn’t trade.

Monahan won’t be returning a first. That Dallas trade is just disrespectful, and that’s as nice of a verbiage you can get for that dumpster fire. Montreal doesn’t have enough to offer for Robertson, and would have had a better chance sending an OS to get him. Frankly, I wouldn’t give half of that package for Dubois, and the remaining trades are just a wash.

Again ENOUGH with the PLD trades. You want a 2nd line center, find a way to make a trade with LA for Byfield. The kid is odd man out on a team that is DEEP at center, and LA has a playoff team who may be willing to sacrifice some of the future for a shot at winning now. Not saying that would happen, but those are the trades Habs should be looking at. Teams who have an abundance of depth, poised to do well in playoffs, and move Veteran pieces those teams would require. Lot of teams would like Depth on D, especially how injuries occur in playoffs. Mattheson, Savard, Edmundson, would look appealing to a lot of teams for playoff run.
