Someone needs to chill out. Kerfoot has been below par (so have other players) but we’re still winning and have to think he’ll come true eventually - he’s been a very useful player for us while with Leafs. His versatility is needed.

With Kerfoot and Engvall have a combined salary at 5.75 million. When Knies is available at 925K, if you move Kerfoot and Engvall that gives the leafs 4.85 million to upgrade on LW. With retention that could be a great rental option.

It’s not just cap space that you need to land rentals, it’s assets (prospects + picks). We already have ~$3-5M assuming Muzz doesn’t come back. How many assets you willing to burn this year? They both have shown they can be decent players in the past and can still play an important role (especially defensively), and best of all - it doesn’t cost us any assets to keep them. Matthews is not playing great either but no chance we move him. Patience is needed now, things are going well
