As a sharks fan i would want Holtz but that’s is a really good offer and they should consider.
that being said they are not a fluke. too young, too talented, to deep, and have too much cap space to be considered a fluke. this is the beginning of a strong and long run as a cup contender for NJD as long as coaching and the GM don’t screw it all up.
and so far both GM and coach have done a marvelous job not panicking or over scenting themselves.

Don’t really understand the thinking of moving Severson for Dumba.

Trading Severson for Dumba is pretty much a downgrade at this point, Severson has been great as ever this season.

I get that Reimer is tacked on in the SJ trade but that's waaay too much for the Devils to give up this early in their competitive window.
A not super big upgrade in the top six trading Sharangovich for Meier is not worth giving up Bahl (whom realistically could negate the need to resign Graves for next season), Boqvist (the Devils long-term 3C) and that 2023 1st.

Also, calling this a fluke season is just wrong.
The way the Devils are winning most of the time isn't down to luck (like unsustainably high shooting / save percentages)
It's because the process at which they're tilting the ice, suppressing chances against and constantly generating chances off the rush they are a top 3 team in the league.
