What you dont see the value in:

A soon to be 24 year old undersized dman with 1 career NHL game

a 2022 4th round pick who has terrible production even by junior standards.

A 2021 player who they used a 1st round pick on who is producing at a sub ppg level in his D+2 season.

I agree with you. I also would be willing to bet his value is near his lowest in Front Offices right now though

Reilly Walsh is 23 with a late April birthday, and would make the majority of NHL rosters. I also literally note the return is something I’m not tied to. Just the player to the team

Charlie Leddy blows, but the Rangers front office is led by the same guy who helped oversee the Sammy Blais deal, the Barclay Goodrow deal, the Reaves acquisition…

Chase Stillman is CLEARLY the next Tom Wilson.

Speaking of, you were pretty silent when presented with the justification for Meier’s value being so much lower than you want. You can respond in those respective threads though! smile

Which trade here is your favorite? Is it the totally Tom Wilson 2.0 deal? The one where I say the value doesn’t match, or the one for a disappointment of a second overall selection at his likely lowest value in Front Offices?

Kakko couldn't look Hughes in his eyes at the draft. Was so weird.

Walsh will get his NHL chance...will probably be scooped up by team that values analytics as his fancy stats are in his favor. Not sure if VAN would be it.

Stillman has looked great since Othmann arrived. Now on Robertson-Othmann-Stillman line. Would be awesome if we could salvage something there.

An 18-year old defensive dman, who is playing on top pair at Boston College (not juniors).

I wouldn't say Leddy returns Kakko, but he has played well at BC (and at NTDP before.)

I’d be happy to pay a lot more for him regardless. I think is upside away from New York is unreal

Since you're clearly trolling MTL, we'll send you 7 1sts and all our prospects to have a conversation about trading for Andreas Johnsson @ 200% of his cap hit. Please, oh please!

Absolutely not considering that without an authentic Stanley Cup ring for each Habs championship team, and an agreement that the Canadien National Anthem cannot be played whenever the Devils play the Habs, and wherever.

Which one is your favorite? I would like details! Provide an analysis, before I go back to the National sport of the US, “cricket but different”

I hesitate between the one where you get a 1st for a player who can't step it up in the OHL, or the one where you get Kakko for a mid round pick when MTL just paid a 13OA for Dach.

The part where you compare Stillman to Wilson is also a good one. Wilson is only 3 inch taller and 40lbs heavier and the best power forward in the league, but ok.

That’s fair. I would guess a mid rounder-late rounder could probably be coerced to come back NJ’s way as well. Not sure it would 100% capitalize Walsh’s value, since I think he slots into Vancouver’a NHL lineup, but it’s probably the most realistic like you said

Vanilla ice cream cone, and the action figure MUST already be opened. The packaging makes Marty mad when he tries too open them

-rangers are our biggest rival, they would trade Kakko to any other team 1st besides maybe the Islanders. Kakko would be a cool get but it wouldn’t happen unless we overpay

-I’m not sure Walsh can get a 2nd straight up though I do feel that where his value could be, Abe a different team however. I agree with @juiceman though swapping Walsh for McDonagh makes a lot of sense for both sides and that’s probably a trade I would attack.

-Chase Stillman isn’t worth a 1st. He’s not being traded. I think Fitzgerald likes his game and I think he will be a very useful bottom 6 guy, an area in the lineup that doesn’t hurt to have young guys fill out.
