Gavrikov, unfortunately, plays the wrong side do don’t see how this helps. Who you going to bump - Reilly, Gio or Sandin?
Also Vatrano trade makes no sense - for Leafs or Ducks (who just signed him). Good player but doesn’t move the needle imo. I say no to both, just my two cents

Sorry poor roster construction. Leafs are fine at defence with Sandin on left side and Holl on the right. Deleting Holl who has been good, and switching Sandin, doesn't make the Leafs better at all.
So the trade for Vatrano is a Engvall, a first, two thirds and Kral. That seems steep.

Very competitive bid for Gavrikov; works just fine for the Jackets. We could even retain 50% and take that without complaint.

Now, whether or not that actually makes sense for the Leafs... well, I'll leave that to all y'all.

What IS it with you people? We signed Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano on July 13 and people think that we're going to trade them 21 games in?!? That's how you never get to sign another free agent again while that GM has his job. A two-bit pundit floats some clickbait about Vatrano, immediately qualifies it as something that's highly unlikely, and half the Toronto fanbase thinks Vatrano at a discount for garbage is a good idea for Anaheim. Neither of those two elements would be on the Ducks' roster next season, so why in the world would we trade away two more years of Frank Vatrano for them?!?!?

The extreme privilege of assisting Toronto get bounced in the first round again, of course. Isn't that basically a currency at this point for their fans?

What of value is there in Holl plus a 3rd to the Ducks to offset the reputation damage of shipping out a guy we JUST signed in UFA, TO TERM???

These Vatrano to TOR trades need to stop, because they aren't going to happen.
