If DeBrincat was on the block, that would be a decent offer. I'd still rather a top-four defenceman, though.

Ottawa accepts.

And DeBrincat will want 9 million, not 6.5.

Letting pastrnak walk to trade for debrincat is a real bad idea.

I think the fact that Krejci & Bergeron will take their retirement & the Bruins will likely not been extremely competitive in 2 years will not help him to sign a massive extension with the Bruins.

Also, don't forget the Miller story will not helm him to return to Boston, especially if the management remains the GM (and they will be the same).

Since when is that a fact? Fact is every non-Bruin fan thought Bergy was retiring last offseason and Krejci was never coming back. And yet…

Miller has absolutely no affect on Pasta returning…zero. Dumb statement.

Value is fine but organization wise it’s a dumb one, and the logic being used to justify it is even worse.

This is….how do i put this kindly. Ahhh i can’t. This is dumb!

Not reported yet, but pastrnak and the bruins already have the deal worked out at 8x10, they’re just haggling over signing bonus in a potential lockout year.

If they weren’t going to be competitive, how does trading their best prospect, and a first help things?

How do you know anyones retiring? (Krejci very likely is, Bergeron very likely isn’t)

How does Miller change anything?

Just one bad take after another.

I think the fact that they just signed each a 1 year contract means they will likely been their last hockey season. I think they signed a ''last try'' type contract, and they won their bet.

Bergeron haved somes serious intentions to talks with families members about taking his retirement but he decided that he will make a ''last try'' and sign later druing the summer only a one year contract (that's from Kent Hughes, his former agent). If he know that he will only take his retirement in like 2-3 seasons, why he didn't sign a 2-3 years contract ?

I know it's hard to saw their frachise player take his retirement, it's a natural reaction. Just looks how somes Habs fans belives that Carey Price will make a day a come back after his massives injuries, but everybody know that will not happen.
