Terrible value but probably realistic. I hate being a Canucks fan
I agree. I still like Boeser and think its dumb too trade him when his value is this low just to keep Horvat. They need to rebuild their prospect pool and their just avoiding it. They want to be the most mid team in the league.
Oh, I know, but GM's love points. Not somebody I would want on my favourite team.
Oh for sure. Josh Bailey was on a 54 pt pace last season and he was by far the worst forward on the isles. Points lack context. Boeser plays with Horvat/Miller and usually gets a lot of PP time. His point totals are misleading
I think a second for Monahan is pretty reasonable if he keeps up his production. I just can’t see him getting a first because of the trade earlier in the year where he has traded along with a first, and his production is good enough to justify him getting a first.
Are the chances of him resigning high? Just curious because if they aren’t, then keeping him doesn’t make any sense.
You don't ever get a 2nd line center with a 2nd round pick. GMs don't look at what a team paid for that player, they look at what they're getting.
In that case it would be in their best interest just to do that instead of trade him.
It would make sense, but he's also 28 and we traded a mid 1st last year for our future 2nd line center. Hughes has already confirmed that they plan on Dach eventually ending up there

He has actually been spending a lot of time with a struggling Garland and AHL callup Dries. His powerplay spot has also been taken by a far more dynamic Kuzmenko this season. That seems to be the line of misfits. The whole organization is a mess

He was easily out best player in the COVID bubble season. Not even close. Was definitely a top 6 forward. Last season and this season has been just full of terrible luck for him. I guarantee that as soon as he is on a new team, he will become the 30 goal scorer he was always projected to be. Vancouver is just a gong show
