I would do that for Buffalo, I would agree that's a lot and prefer to negotiate out of Nadeau into someone else though

Hanifan just a year left on his contract till UFA. (it's a 23/24 post) Actually I think it's a good deal for Calgary if they can fill the void at LHD with Hanifan and his cap gone.

Don't think you understand the conception of UFA. Roy can sign anywhere, and doubt he would be getting an eight year contract. He'd be a good for Buffalo and a lot of teams.

? never said eight years and in this scenario they have a whole 1 and a half years to work out an extension, which i think the sabres would be very interested in doing
