I'd argue that Walker has more value than Edmundson. He's just as good, signed to a cheaper contract, and plays the more valued RHD position. It's a pretty even 1-for-1 swap considering LA is "buying."

You can keep the draft pick.

Columbus might trade a 5th for a defenseman for this season to help a teams cap with so many of their defenseman on the IR, but they aren’t moving a 2nd or getting one with multiple years of term left, unless it’s a 1 for 1 trade for Gudbranson, like Savard for Gudbranson.

Are you not open to the idea of trading durzi or you think value is off ?

Durzi is available, but not for Edmundson. He's the biggest trade chip the Kings have. They'll want to use him to bring back a young puck mover, not a guy that will be a UFA and on the wrong side of 30 when his contract is up after next season.

I like Savard, but the Jackets are starting to have a glut of RD and don't have room for Savard. Montreal should probably keep him.

The only reason i sent him to you is because i recently saw a few CBJ fans saying they would love to have him back as a vetran leader for the young D core

That tells a lot on your hockey knowledge if you can’t figure by yourself why Edmundson have more value than Walker
And it’s not a question on who’s the better player btw

Literally the only thing Edmundson has on Walker is size. Walker is better in every other regard, including contract value.

Edmundson is a great locker room guy
Edmundson has a ring
Things like that gives value to a player

And that's one of the only reasons why Montreal doesn't add significantly in an Edmundson for Walker swap.

Did you think you’d get rid of a slow, old and bad dman and get picks back?

Yes he is bias, but he doesnt understand that GMs will value Edmundson way more than Walker because of his leadership and size + being a good defensive dman playing hard
Walker is better on the skating side, more offensively, but there's way more players like that than players like Edmundson

Habs are in chasing for a playoffs spot in the East and Savard is playing top pairing
So he can't be this bad, otherwise MTL would stink
He shouldn't play top pairing minutes, but calling him bad is ridiculous
He should play on a 2nd pairing on an ok/good team but 3rd pairing on a contender

Then why are you sending him to the current third-worst team in the standings? Keep him. Make the playoffs! Or send him to a contender who needs a solid defensive bottom pair RD. Columbus certainly isn't giving up futures for him at this stage in his career or the franchise's trajectory.
