Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Here's what I'd realistically offer for Josh Anderson. Two decent looking prospects who can step into the NHL today if need be. Foote projects to be a 3rd line power forward with scoring abilty(similar to Anderson) and Walsh can be a 2nd pairing offensive dman(Matt Dumba in his prime). On top of Foote and Walsh, a 2nd rounder in a deep draft. MTL has to eat significant cap if they want to move that deal with that term

Dont think habs would want to retain for 5 years, especially if your only offering that.

I think the offer is fair, but habs will prob want more

I think change it to a first, remove one of the prospects and no retention

Kent Hughes will want a 1st if he's moving Anderson.

He wouldn't retain, but he could take Johnsson as a cap dump.

Anderson would play with Jack Hugues.

Maybe 2.5m retained is too much, but I wouldn't pay him more than 4m per so MTL would have to retain 1.5m

Retention has to be part of it. Anderson is not a 5.5m dollar player. NJ not giving a first for him but I'd be willing to lower retention to 1.5m

sure, but there is no point to retain so long for a player if you dont get a good return in the end. montreal would probably rather give him away for nothing than retain 1.5 mil for 6 years for a second round pick. (hence.why all those new jersey trade dont make.much sense)

Would have to be serious retention. Habs don’t have to retain all (they can pay another team to do so) but that AAV should be right-sized to $3m to $3.5m before NJD offers any top prospects.

This contract is not going to age well.

Trouble is the four full season safter this. Is a third liner winger gonna be worth that? If Jersey wants a Anderson type player....which means not defensively, though he has some attributes, it maybe a lot better just getting upcoming UFA at TDL and pay no more, probably less. For that price maybe cap strapped Florida would trade 3m x 2 years Duclair.

Devils shouldn't touch Josh Anderson with a ten-foot pole.
This is just needlessly gouging the prospect pool for drastically downgrading their 3rd line.
