The Sabres don't need small wingers. The Sabres don't need wingers at all but if they were to get one theyd need a power forward

Is there anything from Vancouver that would appeal to the Sabres? Pettersson, Hughes and Demko being untouchables.

I thought that Sabres fans felt Mittlestadt could possibly be an extraneous piece given that Thompson and Cozens are core centers with Krebs, Savoie and Ostlund vying for a spot as well. I think he'd be a good fit in Vancouver since we need a 3C and his skill and vision would compliment our straight line wingers nicely.

Mittlestadt can go, but they don't need small wingers. Miller, Horvat, and Schenn are only players that I can think would generate some sort of interest

I wouldn't have guessed Miller, that's interesting.

You’re wrong
The Sabres don’t hate Mitts like you do
And we aren’t looking for a winger

This trade is absolute highway robbery for buffalo. Sorry you can't see it.

Take care

Shibbal and Love have different opinions from other Sabre fans as you can see.
Little is probably correct as Garland fills a hole at RW.
Bear or Schenn are RHD so they would also fill a hole for the Sabres.
Luke is certainly having a career year, he is large, brings a physical presence to the ice, but he is UFA at the end of the season while Casey is a RFA next year.
Garland for Casey, Buffalo should say yes for the reasons you suggested.
Bear or Schenn, the Canucks would need to add.

The line of Olofsson and Mitts does not work at all, no chemistry. Olofsson plays like he's not interested. I would completely break this line. I would make this trade because I like Garland, he is small but plays with tenacity and energy. Krebs' metrics, especially on defense, are even better than those of Mitts. Mittelstadt has not found chemistry with anyone this season.

Casey for Conor, Buffalo wins this trade 8 days a week.
Conor is only 20 months older than Casey, Conor adds depth to RW, Krebs between Victor and Conor would give Buffalo 3 scoring lines (not that scoring goals is their problem).

Caps don't consider that, with Carlson-Jensen-Van Riemsdyk on the right side as it is. Maybe if the Caps move one of the aforementioned defensemen, but I don't see it happening. Would rather see a clear path forward to Iorio playing, rather than clogging the team with even more Defense (already they could end up carrying 2 defensive scratches with Irwin + Alexeyev)
