Description
Ryan Whitney on Spittin Chiclets believes that the Bruins can get in on Kane with this tweet - https://twitter.com/ryanwhitney6/status/1597292666949365760?cxt=HHwWgMDT_ffN3KosAAAA

Whit believes the Bruins are all in this year as a dominant team in the NHL.
Please add any prospects/draft picks that need to make this trade happen. I'll start with 2 1sts.

Feel free to add if Whit is an idiot or a genius.

Are you expecting the return to kane to be the highest rental return in NHL history? Not meant to be rhetorical, genuinely asking.

I expect it to be slightly better (subjective to a degree based on the prospect or young player included) as Giroux

There are other teams that will be willing to give up more, and the Bruins prospect pool feels somewhat shallow.

Unless Chicago is willing to take Mitchell Miller 😬

Other teams likely give up more....but Kane has a NMC and picks his destination. A team could offer the great package of all-time, a real no brainer and if Kane says no I'm not going the, well the package doesn't matter

That's true. Don't know Kane personally, but I'm sure he'd approve a trade to any team he genuinely believes to be a true contender.

Reilly is a good player. There would be no problem moving him for assets in the off-season when everyone isn’t hard against the cap. He’s worth the $3M.

Two firsts for a rental isn’t really a thing.

He just went unclaimed on waivers.

It wasn’t a 1st, and 14 overall, which is what your statement reads like.

Also a completely different trade as it was in the off-season.

That trade also sucked.

A year of Robert hagg at $1.6M isn’t exactly a earth shattering cap dump.

I don't see an 'and' in my statement. Might be missing a comma but nowhere is there an and.

Most trades do suck. Hall has been in 3 of them. Hall for Larsson. Hall for #18 OA, Bahl and a 3rd +. And Hall for Bjork and a 2nd.

You made a list, and referenced a first, the 14th overall, bunch of other stuff.

2 late 1sts and 2 cap dumps is not. Late 1sts historically have a 30% of turning into a fulltime NHL player, they are a bag of magic beans

Right. Philly got one late first. This is for two late firsts. Philly also moved a former first rounder and a 5th to facilitate it. Philly also retained 50%.

Philly also got Owen Tippet who they probably valued quite a bit, a former #10 OA who wasn't living up to the hype in Florida.

He's not an AHL'er; has 10 points in 17 games this season with 6 goals. Obviously Philly saw something in him that Florida did not

Right, and he could go on to be the greatest hockey player of all time…but when he was traded, he was a 23 year old AHLer.

He still had 42 games in the NHL last season versus 12 games in the AHL for Florida so that's not true.

And where was he at the time of the trade? The AHL, because he had sucked in the NHL.

That doesn't make him a "AHLer" because he was sent down for a handful of games on a very deep team waiting for him to be moved out.

So now you’re saying a 23 year old that was unsuccessful in the NHL and therefore demoted to the AHL isn’t an AHLer. Yeesh.

LMAO no I'm saying a guy that played 63 games in the NHL and 12 games in the AHL last season hardly makes him a AHLer Yeesh

At the time of the trade was he in the AHL because he wasn’t playing well enough to be rostered on the NHL team?

On a very deep Florida team, it's highly situational based on a individual team need and or if a player goes into a slump teams will do that as a confidence builder...not that uncommon. 12 AHL games versus 63 NHL games hardly makes him a AHLer...not rocket science here. Now he has 6 goals, 10 points in 17 games this season. He's not a bust AHLer and Philly knew that.

It was 42, not 63. So he was in the AHL because he couldn’t play well enough to be in the NHL but he wasn’t an AHLer, got it. You seem very rational.
