personally i think it was a smart move to offer sheet kk, but i still dont get why they signed him to his contract. maybe it will payoff in the end , i just feel it was an unecessary decision.

The best thing that happened to the HABS was losing KK for a 1st and 3rd pick pick. Thank you CANES!!!!!

Dvorak turned out to be a much better center than KK. Defensively and offensively. Not being a jerk just stating the truth. CANES wanted to be Smart ASsEs and they got what they paid for.

If you're really that glad he's gone, you wouldn't be on every canes acgm talking about him.

And completely writing off a 22 year old former 1st rounder after you immediately traded for an older player making a similar amount? Just weird behavior.

With the direction the habs are heading, they would've been much better off investing in the younger player. Its not the massive fleece you think it is.

But ig hindsight is 20/20, and when the os happened, the habs were coming off a finals appearance and management thought they were close, and sacrifced long term gain for short term.

Kotkaniemi is MILES better than Dvorak defensively. Admittedly, KK lacks offense, but his defensive game is real good. He's got some of the best underlying numbers in hockey

It`s not weird behavior, some players just don`t develop or for some weird reason break out at 25-27 years old. Take Byfield for example; he has yet to make his mark and is by leaps a much better player than KK and is in the same predicament. HABS needed a Center that could perform and Dvorak until now is performing to the HABS needs. KK wasn`t. Will KK be a better player over his career, time will tell but as it stands today Dvorak is better.
