So the ducks give up the two better players and retain for 3 years for a lousy third and give up a fifth? Other than the obvious fact teams don't trade guys right after they sign as free agents, there is absolutely no value going towards Anaheim.
Also no reason for Arizona to do that deal. I think insurance pays littles salary and they need the cap hit to stay above the floor.

What a terrible trade for the Leafs with Arizona. Trading a top 4 Dman Holl and getting not getting a Dman in return. You know Little doesn't help the Leafs at all when on LTIR.

Holl isn't going anywhere and probably will be resigned for a team discount to stay with the leafs. Holl as a #6 right now when the leafs are healthy is very solid. Rielly-Liljegren Sandin- Brodie Gio-Holl. Unless they can get a guy like Lyubushkin for cheap the more important need is a power forward for the top 6.

none of these trades move the needle so why bother? they make no sense for either side....
