not sure what much more we want out of Tavares as the 2C, 2C is not a need right now. JVR but let Bunting walk? Come on. If the cap goes up like this, use the JVR money and a bit of the Horvat money to resign Bunting, use some of the Horvat money to resign Kampf, and use some of it for an upgrade on D. Maybe a true 3C would be nice too if there's space, or maybe Holmberg emerges as that he's looked stellar so far. But this isn't how the cap should be used at all.

Luke Schenn is washed; doesn’t have the hands or speed to play on team like Leafs (puck possession) .
FA Priorities in off season are;
1/ RHD to play with Reilly (Mayfield or Zub for example)
2/ LW to play with JT and Willy / Marner (Kuzmenko or maybe a trade)
3/ re-sign Bunting who’ll play with Matthews and Marner / Willy
4/ bring up some youngsters on permanent roles - Timmons, Steeves, Robertson, Holmberg, kalgren or Woll

he's fine there but I think in the most ideal lineup he's your 4C. more of a scoring 3rd line would be ideal
