It's too early to tell at this point. If kuzmenko does get moved it will be really close to the deadline when there is a clearer picture of what he is.

That said I think the Canucks will be looking to re-sign him. You don't go through all that work to get him in the offseason without having the intention of keeping him.

If Vancouver commits to a rebuild though, and tears down their other core pieces, or if they commit to a team that stays in the league cellar, who knows if he would even want to stick with them on an extension

I think a first round pick is a reasonable starting place if Kuzmenko stays at a point per game pace. His contract is dirt cheap meaning any contender could afford him.
