Domi for Robertson is fine but if Toronto has to dump kerfoot they're gonna have to pay for it. Add atleast a 3rd.

You are stuck with Domi. Why on earth did your GM move Dach and Kubalik to get AA and Domi? Both are the opposite of the type of player you want for the playoffs. Defensive liabilities aren't ever sought after unless they are major offensive contributors. Neither of those two are.

As soon you mentioned "contract extension", and not putting any $$$ and term, it's kinda of a meaningless trade.
Personally I don't like the trades. Leafs trade 3.5 regulars for two regulars. Sorry that doesn't help the Leafs much if at all, Then the Leafs give up a 1st and take up much more cap next season. No thanks from the Leafs.

I feel like the fact the Domi is a UFA after this season and Robertson is a young cost controlled RFA in 2 years makes it pretty fair for CHI to take on Kerfoot for the rest of the year to make the money work, but I get where your head is at.

LOL that's a horrible take. The Hawks didn't move Dach and Kubalik for AA and Domi. The Hawks moved Dach due to work ethic issues for a 13th OA and 3rd rounder. Kubalik had a $4.5M QO, nobody was going to pay that following last season's performance.

AA and Domi are not liabilities during the playoffs, just silly take.

He's not that great my friend. At his age and term, I don't see any value in his contract. Lybushkin is close enough and he's making 2.5 million and is a better skater. He's not terrible but he's not a top pair defenceman. He's a guy that doesn't hurt you on the 2nd pair. He's preferably a 3rd pair/pk guy. Just doesn't have the skill to fit in a possession system.

Literally anyone who doesn't say the Leafs suck has no value. I get loving a team but hating the Leafs more than your like the wings is just sad.

I would probably do this, but TOR might have to add a little something. Kerfoot is of very little consequence, whereas Robertson has value and the potential to be an absolute steal. Plus, if CHI sells off Domi, AA, Kane, and Toews, we will need bodies like Kerfoot to fill out the roster for the rest of the season anyway. I would rather not break up what we have going on in Rockford to hopelessly fill roster holes on the Hawks.
