Assuming they could flip Zuccarello (at 50%) for some good pieces, that could be a great trade for Vancouver.

But if its done in off-season...Horvat will be pending UFA. So price would be mid-round pick alone.

Vancouver takes that in a heartbeat. Why are you overpaying?

Bo Horvat is basically a Mikko Koivu middle-rung 2C, in terms of his ceiling not overall play style.

So it begs the question, why are you paying 1C value rates for a career 2nd-line center who isn't worth either Rossi or Addison.

B-level prospect, 1st, and a piece to make the cap work. That's it. That's his worth.

Furthermore, it would be moronic to move Rossi 18 games into his NHL Career.

Isn’t worth Rossi OR Addison? Agree to disagree on that!

Could offer the same to Detroit for Larkin.
(or maybe change Addison to Lambos or O'Rourke)

Rossi and Addison are A-level top ranked prospects.

Neither of them should be available or on the table in ANY Horvat discussion.

2nd-line centers ARE NOT WORTH top prospects.

I wouldn't do this if I were the Wild. I like the eventual future upside of Rossi/Addison more than I like Horvat as a second line center for years to come.

I hope I’m wrong, but I see Rossi’s future as a mid 6 wing…maybe a center and Addison as a 3rd (maybe 2nd) pairing D who mans the PP. Together, they are worth a high end 2nd line center.

O'Rourke would and should be available for Horvat.

None of Rossi, Boldy, Addison, Lambos, or Wallstedt should be available and considered untouchable in any discussion when it comes to Horvat.

If it was Larkin, then they probably get discussed aside from Boldy and Wallstedt. But it would depend on the trade particulars.

Noooo, not trading Larkin lol. They could offer that up to jersey for Hischier though.

Every professional prospect analyst out there is convinced that Rossi WILL be a center in the NHL and that his FLOOR is basically more or less who Horvat is. Even Pronman who is notoriously down on Rossi and has always disliked him.

It makes zero sense to move the player who is currently only 18 games into his NHL career, is 8 years younger, and will be under team control for even longer while explicitly cheaper for that same timespan. Then to top it all off, will be as good as Horvat at minimum, for his career. Probably better.

Larkin is a pending UFA. As long as he is unsigned, I think he is fair game for ACGMs.

The thing to remember with Rossi is that he’s only going to get stronger and he has nothing left to prove in the AHL. Dean is really the issue with Rossi’s development path ATM. He needs to be playing with Boldy or Kaprizov, end of story. I’ve can still be a 30 pt guy this year if he’s stuck in for the rest of the year.

That is a brutal overpay for Horvat IMO, the guy is scoring ~10% above his career average right now and should cool off sooner or later
