That doesn't get Dubois. Chiarot got a 1st, a 4th and a C prospect at the TDL for a couple months. So, there is no chance that Winnipeg takes a 1st, 2nd, a C prospect or considers taking on a cap dump for an entire year of Dubois.

There's an even less chance that Dubois considers a below market value long term contract.

And Montreal fans wonder why they have such a bad reputation for being unrealistic.

They could be traded to other than these teams. I really think that will be the return. Monahan is playing extremely well this season

The Jets need to get rid of an LD, not add two more. We could get more value for Dubois as a rental at the deadline than this. The value isn’t there at all

I think Dach will be playing Center after the TDL. I have been watching him and in my opinion he's gonna be fine running his own line.

He protects the puck better than Suzuki and he makes good plays. We will need to get a winger not a center in the offseason and we can get a UFA, we don't need to spend draft capital.

We will also have some kids coming up like Sean Farrell who may challenge for a prominent role.

I don't see Matheson getting traded in the WPG trade. More like a Jordan Harris. You still need an experience LD and Harris is a B+ prospect that can play right now
