I wouldn't give him more than 3, he disappears for periods of time, even on Jacks wing hasnt helped him all that much. Who knows maybe we trade him in the offseason, there are a bunch of teams like (Ottawa, Detroit) that are trying to end their string of bad luck that could use a player like him to put them over the top

I think they do the 1-year, then revisit in 2024.

Between Bahl and Smith, I trust Bahl more if we are talking about an entire series, or one game to protect lead. But if we can keep both on roster, i probably play Smith when face-punching is required.

Luke would have to blow the doors off in his audition to be put into lineup. I’d rather keep my expectations in check.

That being said what do you think the Devils will do with their UFAs? RFAs? Who gets resigned? Who leaves? Who gets traded and for what?
Doesnt have to be a "dream" offseason but try to be as realistic as possible here

I think Haula is the most likely UFA to come back. I think he does a lot off the ice and seems like a great locker room vet. Very iffy on Tatar. If he were to take a discount, maybe at like 3mil, I do it no question. This seems like a big career year for him so I have to imagine the real Tatar is somewhere in between this year and last year. I don’t think the devils should resign either of Graves or Sevo unless the are very friendly deals.
I think Bratts cool down has damaged what he will actually return in aav. I think there is a good case he might get just under Hughes money. Meier will be resigned, same with the other RFAs. Blackwood and Sharangovich get traded.
