I like Fowler, but that is an overpay. There is zero chance Yzerman would make this deal, let alone any Wing's fan. 1st the two 2023 picks are out of the equation and thus this deal is DOA.

The other day I said someone made the worst Pens trade I've ever seen on here. This person has easily supplanted that one.

Pens decline for sure. Gibson hasn’t been good in years so no way he gets even one of Rust, the 1st or 3rd at this point. And the excuse that he plays on a bad team is a bad excuse cause players play well on bad teams all the time. To add onto that, Rust has a full NMC and doubt he waives to go to a rebuilder.
