I am hoping they keep Sandin if they trade for Chychrun. I would give up Niemela and keep Sandin.

I can assure you nobody will be paying, especially not that much, for Pearson. That's a lot for Chychrun. And TOR can afford to LTIR Muzzin while AZ doesn't have the same financial capabilities, why would the Leafs also be paying to dump Muzzin when it's just not necessary? Sandin + 1st and maybe a small extra incentive piece would be about where fair value is, especially when you consider Chychrun's health history

If Pearson (with 50% retention) didn’t have another year maybe but that second year is a deal breaker. And for nowhere near that cost; maybe a low level prospect only (no pick) to clear a contract.
