Too bad other teams have the same cap that Canucks do. I can't see the Pens (or any team) wanting Miller's 8m X 7 years contract. And you can be sure the Leafs have no interest in Myers at 4.75m next season. Boesner might even fit into that category too.

Two guys we don't want, plus 3 3rds for a 2nd? I would say no. We don't have spots for either player. I think I would be fine with trading a 2nd for 3 3rds, I don't love it, but the value is there. I'm sure the point is getting rid of the players too, which we wouldn't have any interest in.

Sabres won’t do this

Maybe a few years ago, when we were re-starting another rebuild- then maybe we’d have valued all those 3rds for a 2nd
But now, we already have a really deep prospect pool with all the picks we’ve made over the last couple drafts
And we have a bunch of picks in this draft too

Now, it’s about quality over quantity for us

Can’t see how a trade like that would appeal to the Sabres
