Am I the only one that doesn't like Klingberg or Vatrano? I don't think they push the needle enough. If you're going to go out and move Robertson, Niemela, two 1sts, and a 2nd, I would much rather hone in on a bigger name like Meier or Chychrun

Kerfoot has positive value here. Vancouver would retain 50% on him and flip him for a 2nd + quite easily.

I would say Kuzmenko can probably get a 1st or a 2nd + 3rd + B Prospect
Horvat with the retention can get A prospect + 1st + 3rd

How? 2 prospects and a 1st for a 2 way centre who can play the PK, is one of the top fo% guys, has been on a heater, is a captain, PP ace, he is everything you could want, and being able to move out cap and get retention on him is worth a crap ton in itself.

You would be moving out 7.75M and only taking on 3.7 for a total gain of 4.05M.

I disagree, He is a pure cap move if this was the situation, if you moved him last off season that would be different, but you didnt so now he is a 3.5M cap hit. It is close, but the canucks would prefer to get quality assets over quantity

Horvat is a 1 dimensional centre. He's very poor defensively, terrible at giving up odd man rushes. Literally one of the worst in the league for that. Kuzmenko is also bad defensively but had a hot start. Horvat wouldn't play PK in TO because he sucks at it and he won't get top PP minutes in TO.

Horvat is by far better than Klingberg. If I’m not mistaken, Klingberg is statistically one of the worst defensemen in the league right now. Horvat has 15 goals in 19 games. This is a hilariously bad offer for the Canucks. 2023 first or no deal

What are you talking about? have you ever watched the canucks? he isnt bergeron when it comes to his 2 way play but he is still defencively reliable, he is also one of the best bumpers in the league, He already has 6 PPG, thats top 5 in the league, he is also first over the boards on PK. Kuzy isnt fantastic defensively but he is a 950k player, and can also hold his own. Also where did you find that Horvat is the worst at odd man rushes. He is litterally our match up Centre, he is not bad

We didn't sign Frank Vatrano just to trade him after 19 games, especially since he looks like he's going to be exactly what we expected him to be.

Take out Vatrano and Engvall and we would have a deal.

Ehh, **** it, i'd let them keep Engvall in the deal to move out cap/contract for Klingberg.

Drop Vatrano from the deal and I'd do it as is.
